Youth work

“Youth work” is a cover-all description of all our church does to serve young people in our area.

There is a great deal more going on than is listed here (Holiday club, camps, other smaller midweek groups…). But the groups mentioned here are a useful ‘front door’ into all the others.

Sundays

On Sundays we have a créche for babies 2 and under, where mothers are able to look after children in a separate room, while being part of the morning meeting via the sound system.

Children who are 6-11 are taught together in our church hall

Children from 11-14 are taught the Bible in their own group in the vicarage.

We want lively Bible teaching using the country’s best resources to back up the best place of Christian instruction – which is actually in a child’s home!

Fridays: Fridays

This is a club for primary school children (5-11 year olds). It runs on Fridays during term time from 6-7.30pm at the Exeter Road Hall.

At Fridays we play games, do craft activities and teach the bible. All children are welcome to join us. For more info email Reece on the ‘who’s who’ part of our website.

Rootz:

This is a youth club for secondary school children (11-16 year olds). It runs on Fridays during term time from 8-9.30pm at the Exeter Road Hall.

At Rootz we run activities (football, table tennis, xbox, games and cooking, just to name a few) and have a short talk and discussion around a Bible passage. All young people are welcome to join us. For more info contact Nicky on the ‘who’s who’ part of our website.
