Youth Work

"Youth work" is a cover-all description of all our church does to serve young people in our area.

There is a great deal more going on than is listed here (Holiday club, camps, other smaller midweek groups…). But the groups mentioned here are a useful 'front door' into all the others.

Sundays

On Sundays we have a créche for babies 2 and under where mothers are able to look after children in a separate room, whilst being part of the morning meeting via the sound system.

Children from 2-5 are taught the Bible in the Vicarage.

Children who are 6-14 are taught together in our church hall before the 11-14's go off to their own group.

We want lively Bible teaching using the country's best resources to back up the best place of Christian instruction - which is actually in a child's home!

Fridays

This is a club for Primary School children (5-11) that runs from 6 to 7:30 pm.

It includes games, Bible teaching and very caring encouragement from a committed team led by Kathy Playle. Email her from the 'Who's who' part of our website.

Scuds

This is a club for secondary school children. Against all popular wisdom for youth work, this group attracts young people from non and even anti church backgrounds. And what attracts them is high quality Bible teaching in the context of warm and genuine friendship! David Reith leads this 'cool' team. Email him from the 'Who's who' part of our website.
