Our relationship with the wider C of E

The Church of England (CofE) is going through a bit of a split!

On the one hand there are those who feel that the church needs to change because the culture we are in is changing. The Bible was written long ago. Culture has changed since then - which means we should change our understanding of the Bible.

On the other hand there are those who feel the Bible is God telling us what he is like. Since he doesn't change, we don't need to change our understanding of the Bible. This is our view.

Those two different approaches produce different responses at ground level in lots of areas.
